Dolphins A and B Swim Meet Jan 18th-20th Squads Medal Winners
The Dolphins Swim Club of Oakville took in another medal haul from their aspiring young swimmers at the A and B meet at the Etobicoke Olympium January 16th weekend to bring the New Year in through a victorious approach setting them up for future success for their up and coming competition schedule. The Dolphins brought home 19 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze medal placing.
The Dolphins had impressive showings from their next string of high performance swimmers, the youngest competitors, who more than proved they are champions in the waiting.
Gold medal victors from the Dolphins Squad were 10 year old Panos Papangelakis 200 freestyle, 10 year old George Papangelakis 50 breastroke, 11 year old Olivia Sbaraglia 50 freestyle, 11 year old Conchobhair Russell 200 and 1500 freestyle and 200 backstroke, 11 year old Sarah Tsounis 800 freestyle, 11 year old Marcus Ruiz 800 freestyle, 13 year old Lauren Dixon 200 breastroke, 14 year old Bronwyn Evans 1500 freestyle, 13 year old Kurt Schubert 1500 freestyle and 100 butterfly, 13 year old Andres Alvarez 200 backstroke, 14 year old Catia Almeida 800 freestyle, 15 year old Meaghan McCann, 50 and 200 backstroke, 15 year old Marina Biasutto 200 freestyle, 16 year old Christina Tannimen 50 freestyle and 16 year old Courtney Gregorian 100 butterfly.
The Dolphins silver medal winners were Olivia Sbaraglia 200 backstroke, 11 Year old William Dixon 100 butterfly, Conchobhair Russell 200 backstroke, 11 year old Elise Nelson 800 freestyle, Sarah Tsounis 50 backstroke, 12 year old Maggie Burns 400 Individual Medley, 12 year old Jonathan Koren 50 breastroke, Lauren Dixon 50 and 200 freestyle, Kurt Schubert 200 freestyle, 200 backstroke, Andres Alvarez50 backstroke, 14 year old Jacqueline Baillie 800 freestyle, 14 year old Amy Schubert 50 backstroke, Bronwyn Evans 400 Individual Medley and Christina Tannimen 100 butterfly.
