Erin’s swimming career:




 

>> Erin is a six time national champion.
>> 5 time CIU National Champion with University of Toronto
>> She is a former World Student Games medalist and former top 7 world ranked swimmers.
>>She has her Bachelor of Arts.
>>Erin has been involved in competitive swimming for more than 30 years.

Erin has coached in Canada, the USA and in Europe and will be overseeing the age group and novice programs for our club. She is an exceptionally talented technical coach who will work with all swimmers to help them develop their technical skills in all 4 competitive strokes and teach them all the fundamentals necessary to achieve in a fun and positive environment. Erin will be coaching the Age Group levels and overseeing the Olympic Way programs in Burlington and Oakville.
 
Erin’s coaching career includes the following clubs;
 

>>Oshawa Aquatic Club as a novice coach.
>>Fort Lauderdale Swim Team as a novice and age group coach
>>Mediterranean Club of Malaga as an age group coach.
>> Barrie Trojans Swim Club as a regional, age group and senior coach.
>>Dolphins Swim Club as the Head Age Group Coach.

 
Coaching Qualifications
>>NCCP level 111
>>Canadian SWAD Coach at the National level
 

Presently Erin is recognized as one of Canada’s top female coaches with swimmers winning medals at the Age Group Nationals Montreal 2007- 2008-2009.

Erin was recently awarded High Male Performance Coach in Ontario for 2009 season. 

 

She also has had medal winners at the Senior National level in Calgary 2007.  Her swimmers have achieved National Team selection including most recently a National Youth Member. Who will be traveling to Europe to represent Canada. Erin has swimmers at Olympic trails 2008 in Montreal.

2009 1 swimmer with a World Record in 4 x 200 free relay.

 

Here swimmers in 2007 season ranked 31 times in the Top 25 Age Group ranking in Canada.

Canadian Swimming Coaches & Teachers Association  awarded Erin Russell  for having one or more swimmers to Canadian Senior Standard or, CIS or national Age Group Record. 2008-2009 season

 

Her most recent achieved has been her swimmer was award the Victor Davis Award for the most outstanding up and coming Junior female athlete.
Many swimmers have reached great achievements under Erin’s tout ledge. Last year Erin's swimmers have reached Provincial Level A standards as finalists at the 2006 Long Course Provincial Swimming Championships. Erin has been instrumental in helping many swimmers reach standards in swimming to which they never expected to achieve. Erin’s success is attributed to her caring, highly motivated and tenacious attitude towards her swimmers and her sport. Erin’s high expectations are geared towards success at all levels without comprising her or her swimmer’s integrity
